Work tasks on this project generally consists of 0.17' deep grinding, placement of pavement reinforcing mat and fabric, placement of 0.17' thick HMA leveling course, placement of a 0.17'-thick HMA on Lake Blvd from Red Bud Lane to North City Limits and on Hill Blvd from Lake Blvd to just north of Ranchera Road. Traffic control, pavement striping and marking placement, and other incidental work as shown on the Plans. The foregoing quantities are approximate only, being given as a basis for the comparison of bids, and the City of Shasta Lake does not, expressly or by implication, agree that the actual amount of work will correspond therewith, but reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of any class or portion of the work in accordance with the General Contract Provisions, or to omit portions of the work, as may be deemed necessary or expedient by the Engineer. No bid will be considered unless it is made on the blank forms inserted in the Contract Documents and unless it is accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of cash, bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the City of Shasta Lake, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The City of Shasta Lake reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The City of Shasta Lake hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that, in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids
