The Project or Work for Nansemond Treatment Plant Struvite Recovery Improvements (NP013700) includes consists of, but is not limited to, the following upgrades: Increasing capacity of the Struvite Recovery Facility by installing a Pearl 2K reactor along with ancillary equipment, expanding the electrical room, installation of an independent drain pump station and building an external product storage building; Implementing Waste Activated Sludge Stripping (WASSTRIP) within the solids handling treatment train which requires the retrofit of four existing concrete reactors into six independent reactors and installation of vertical turbine mixers and instrumentation, various pumping, and piping modifications to the Thickened Waste Activated Sludge / Thickened Primary Sludge (TWAS/TPS) systems; Construction of a Pre-Dewatering Building to house two pre-dewatering centrifuges, two cake pumps, pre-dewatering emulsion polymer system, and three positive displacement blowers; and these upgrades include all yard piping, stormwater, erosion and sedimentation control, HVAC, Odor Control, electrical and instrumentation upgrades required to install the equipment. The Project or Work for Nansemond Treatment Plant Digester Capacity Upgrades (NP014700) consists of, but is not limited to, the following upgrades: Demolition of the existing digester mixing system, heating system, and gas handling/transfer system for each digester while keeping one digester in service; Installation of new digester nozzle style mixing system, gas handling and transfer system, digester boilers and heat exchangers, and flare system. The demolition and construction of the digester upgrades will require temporary heating, mixing, and power facilities; Construction of a sidestream nitrogen removal system, including concrete tankage, submersible mixers, course bubble diffusion system, and instrumentation and control; Construction of new concrete centrate equalization tankage along with modifications to centrate piping, addition of centrate recycling and inline polymer mixing and anti-foamant systems to the dewatering centrifuge system; and these upgrades include all yard piping, stormwater, erosion and sedimentation control, HVAC, Odor Control, electrical and instrumentation upgrades required to install the equipment. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid shall be submitted electronically with each Bid.
