The City of Suffolk has issued this sealed Request for Proposal (RFP) for the sole purpose of obtaining responsive proposals from VDOT pre-qualified firms to provide engineering services related to the structural inspections of various types of bridges for which the City has maintenance responsibility, inspection of traffic control device structures, and the review of Overweight Vehicle Permits as requested by the City. Inspections shall include, but are not limited to, fatigue prone details and fracture critical members utilizing non-destructive evaluation methods, and inspection of any attached ancillary structures (ex. overhead signs). Questions concerning this project must be in writing (e-mail is preferred) and addressed to the Contract Officer listed on the front page of this solicitation, and, should be received no later than five (5) business days preceding the date that the proposals are to be received.
