Bids must be submitted on the appropriate bid forms provided and shall include a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%). Bidders must also be registered with the Iowa Division of Labor. In general, the work involves, but is not limited to, selective clearing, excavation, grading, steel sheet pile weir construction, tile installation, CMP water control structure, and seeding. This project includes around 56,108 cubic yards of earthwork, 2,488 square feet of sheet pile, 4,222 linear feet of tile installation, 780 tons of riprap and erosion stone, 115 cubic yards of grout, and 36.2 acres of seeding. The estimated construction cost range for this project is $430,000 to $490,000. The Plans and Construction Specifications governing the construction of the proposed improvements have been prepared by Louis Wehrspann, P.E., WHKS & Co., and are hereby made a part of this notice by reference and the proposed contract shall be executed in compliance therewith. Bidders who attend and sign-in to the pre-bid conference will be added to the plan holders list. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance/Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
