**As of May 6, 2021, project was awarded to Shaiman Contracting, Inc for $2,234,573.09. The Work includes, but is not limited to: Base Scope: Demolish existing heating water boilers, heating water system, classroom ventilators, convectors and air handling units. Furnish and install new rooftop and indoor air handling units with air conditioning and natural gas heating. Remove and replace existing glazing on northern and western exposure with new. Remove and replace existing side sewer. Alternate M1.1 Scope: Provide a new BACnet direct digital control system from ATS Automation, Inc. for new and existing mechanical equipment. Alternate M1.2 Scope: Provide a new BACnet direct digital control system from LONG Building Technologies, Inc. for new and existing mechanical equipment. Bid Bond: Certified check, bank cashiers check, or bid bond is required with each Bid, equal to 5% of the total Base Bid only. Make checks payable to the Renton School District; furnish bond executed by a licensed bonding agency authorized to do business in the locality of the project. A mandatory minimum 15% apprentice labor hours of the total labor hours are a requirement of the construction contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept the lowest or any other Bid, the right to reject any or all Bids, and the right to waive any irregularities in any Bid. Withdraw of Bid: No Bid may be withdrawn, except with the express permission of the Owner, after the time set for the opening thereof, unless the award of Contract is delayed for a period exceeding 45 days.
