Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Cumming, Georgia. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a 3,647-square-foot laboratory facility.
The projects will consist of a Greenhouse Addition at the North Forsyth Middle School and modification of the Engineering and Technology Lab at Little Mill Middle School. The North Forsyth Middle School Green House project consists of Site Work, Concrete Work, Paving, Plumbing and Electrical for Green House addition; but is not limited to the following work: Termite Control; Exterior Demolition; Earthwork; Erosion Sedimentation & Pollution Control; Site Concrete; Asphaltic Concrete; Pavement Marking; Storm Drainage; Lawns & Grassing; Temporary Seeding; Cast-in-Place Concrete; Metal Fabrications; Misc. Rough Carpentry; Wood-Veneer-Faced Architectural Cabinets; Vapor Barriers; Joint Sealants; Painting; and Electrical; The Little Mill Middle School Engineering & Technology Lab Modification project consists of an interior renovation to existing engineering and technology labs; but is not limited to the following work: Termite Control; Cast-in-Placed Concrete; Ground & Polished Concrete; Cementitious Underlayment; Unit Masonry; Reinforced Masonry; Metal Fabrications; Misc. Rough Carpentry; Wood-Veneer-Faced Architectural Cabinets; Vapor Barrier; Thermal Insulation; Fluid Applied Membrane Air/Vapor Barriers; Sheet Metal Flashing & Trim; Joint Sealants; Hollow Metal Doors & Frames; Flush Wood Doors; Finished Door Hardware ; Glass & Glazing; Fire-Resistant Glazing; Gypsum Board; Porcelain Tile; Acoustical Tile Ceilings; Resilient Flooring; Painting; Visual Display Boards; Panel Signage; Fire Extinguishers; Metal Storage Shelving; Protective Covers Walkways; Fire Protection/Sprinkler; Plumbing; HVAC; and Electrical Project is to commence by May 27, 2021 Substantially Completed by July 16, 2021 Final Completion by August 1, 2021 All anticipated federal, state and local permits required for the Project have not been obtained. Required permits are anticipated on or before April 20, 2021. All rights of way and easements anticipated for the Project have been obtained. The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis by Base Bid plus Selected Alternates, if any. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after Bid opening, except as otherwise expressly provided by applicable law. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The Owner will provide the forms of all bonds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities Addenda will be forwarded when issued.
