Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Cumming, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Forsyth County is seeking bids from qualified bidders to provide labor, equipment, and materials to resurface and convert Basketball Courts to Pickleball Courts at Fowler Park in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Invitation to Bid Questions Due Date: Oct 2nd 2024, 6:00 PM EDT All questions are to be asked via Bonfire under Opportunity Q&A, No questions are to be asked outside of Bonfire Scope of Work The Contractor will be responsible to provide all labor, equipment, and materials to complete the following: 1. Uninstall all existing benches in the middle of the courts and dispose of them. 2. All court and perimeter surfaces shall be cleaned in accordance with the color coat system manufacturer's recommendations. 3. All surfaces and cracks shall be prepared in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. 4. Ensure surfaces and cracks are dry, clean, and contaminant free. 5. All dirt, dust, debris, oil, grease, mildew, pollen, vegetation, leaves, and other surface contaminants, which could adversely affect installation of the court crack repair system shall be removed. 6. Remove crack repair materials that are loose or not bonded well to surfaces. 7. Remove paints and coatings not bonded well to surfaces. 8. Remove flexible or rubberized crack filling materials. 9. The entire court surface shall be pressure washed. 10. The Contractor shall provide crack filling using Riteway Crack Repair System (or approved equal). 11. Thoroughly clean existing cracks and fill to refusal with acrylic crack and leveling binder patch following manufacturer's specifications. A Multi-layered crack repair system will be installed for cracks of all sizes when possible. 12. Install new fiberglass filler in hairline cracks. 13. Fill all birdbath areas and sunken paving joints with acrylic patch binder. 14. The entire area of the pickleball courts must be flat and level once resurfacing is complete. 15. If paint is peeling on certain areas of the court. Paint will need to be removed where it is peeling. 16. Three (3) coats of acrylic color coating must be applied to the entire surface area. One (1) coat of black primer and two (2) coats of textured white line paint must be applied to form a regulation playing area for eight (8) pickleball courts. 17. The pickleball courts must be painted competition blue with the "kitchen" to be painted competition green, and the out of bounds area competition green. 18. Install a 10-foot tall 9-gauge black chain link fencing dividing existing basketball full court from pickleball area. Fencing would be approximately 96 Linear Feet in length. Please refer to drawing under Public Files in Bonfire. Leave a 4-foot opening at each end of fencing. 19. Install a 3-foot tall 9-gauge black chain link fence between courts 1-4 and 5-8 dividing the area in half. Fence will be approximately 114 Linear Feet in length. Add one (1) 4-foot gate in middle of new divider fencing. Leave a 4-foot opening on each end of divider fencing20. Install nets to eight (8) pickleball courts. County standard is Putterman Sports. External Wind Post Set 2-7/8 diameter, 54-inch high (36 inch playing height) 12-guage powder-coated galvanized steel posts Complete with external winder Set should include crank and 2 post caps Black in color 21. Remove all excess materials and debris from job site each day. 22. Fence must be secure to the base around the edges with wiring. 23. There are to be three (3) references submitted with the bid where the proposed filler brand (Armor, Guardian, etc.) was used. 24. Five-year warranty on all crack fillers will be applied. Should any areas fail, the cracks will need to be re-done and re-color coated.
