Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Waukesha County Department of Public Works is interested in obtaining the services of an engineering consulting firm for the facility development process resulting in the design and preparation of preliminary plans, final plans, and PS&E documents, reports and other related documents needed for the replacement or perpetuation of the CTH D Structure within a Root River Tributary and the CTH T Structure within a Pewaukee River Tributary. The project sites are located in the City of New Berlin, the City of Waukesha and the City of Pewaukee. The structure may be one (1) or more spans as determined by hydraulic modelling. The CTH K roadway will remain two (2) lanes with 10-foot shoulders. New beam guard placement shall be investigated, however if there is available clear zone new beam guard may not be necessary. The new structure shall convey the 50-year return interval discharge with a check on the 100 year return interval to check on roadway overtopping. The backwater shall not be raised more than 0.01 feet for any structure selection. Land acquisition is not anticipated for completion of this project, however; additional right of way or easements will be acquired, if needed.
