Site work and paving for a transportation facility in South Burlington, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
Burlington International Airport is seeking proposals for the Taxiway A, B & C - Hotspot Mitigation Project. This program will mitigate current hotspot conditions on the Airfield by installing Runway guard lights, moving Runway 1-19 hold position markings to 125' off of centerline, relocating signage and removing existing useable pavement by means of pavement removal or surface painted pavement markings. The project also includes approximately 7,500 SY of cold milling, joint and crack repair and P-401 HMA paving of approximately 1,800 tons of surface course on Taxiway C. Associated pavement markings (including preformed thermoplastic surface markings) and site restoration will also be part of this airfield hotspot mitigation project. Questions will be accepted until Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 4:00 pm EST and responded to by addendum. Bidders are to ensure they have fulfilled the annual requirement of pre-qualification with the City of Burlington by submitting the City of Burlington's Pre-Qualification of Construction Contractors Application form to the Director of Engineering, Larry Lackey, Burlington International Airport, 1200 Airport Drive, South Burlington, Vermont 05403, or LLackey@btv.aero. This form must be submitted five (5) days before this bid is due (unless the bidder has already fulfilled this annual requirement). In addition to the City of Burlington Pre-qualification, each bidder shall furnish the completed Statement of Bidder's Qualifications form (see Bid Documents) at the time of bid opening. A cashier's check, money order, certified check or bid bond payable without condition to the City of Burlington, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted by the City of Burlington, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract. All proposals shall include a Bid Form, acceptable Bid Security, Contractor's Financial Statement, and other documents required by the Contract Documents. Any Bid not accompanied by the aforementioned required items shall be deemed to be non-responsive Bid. No Bidder may withdraw the proposal within a period of 180 calendar days following the date set for the receipt of bids. The City of Burlington reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 180 calendar days and said bid shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The City of Burlington further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the Contract to any Bidder all to the advantage of the Burlington International Airport or to reject all bids. This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor. Goals for minority participation for each trade: 0.8% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% The City of Burlington reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the Burlington International Airport at the time and under the conditions stipulated in the Contract Documents to the extent permitted by law.
