Site work for a mixed-use development in Redwater, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The work involves excavations, installation of 675 mm storm line, re-construction of the existing roadway, sidewalks, tie-in to existing storm manhole, new catch basins, milling of the existing asphalt pavement, gravel parking lot and other works. Installation of 1.8-meter-high rigid temporary fencing around working area within school ground, quality control, survey work, strip and stockpile topsoil (100 mm to 200mm depth), excavation and disposal (incl. road structure below roadway & grading work), remove existing asphalt (up to 100 mm), remove existing asphalt via. cold milling, remove and dispose of trees and existing monolithic sidewalk (incl. curb & gutter), remove and dispose of miscellaneous concrete (incl. short retaining wall) and remove and dispose of existing handrail. Installation PVC SDR 35 Storm Sewer 375 mm and 675 mm diameter pipes (open cut, vertical trench and surface restoration), remove and replace 1800 mm dia manhole including frame and cover, connection to existing manhole (incl. plug removal and manhole adjustments to accommodate pipe) and supply and install manholes and catch basins. Installation straight face 150 mm Curb and 250 mm gutter and install 1.35 m straight face monolithic sidewalk c/w 150 mm curb and 250 mm gutter. Cement modified subgrade preparation - 20 kg/m2 (300 mm Depth) supply and placement granular base course (250 mm Depth) and hot mix asphalt. Supply and place topsoil and sod, handrail, remove and re-install fence and final grade adjustments (catch basins, existing & proposed manholes).
