Site work for a water / sewer project in Walkersville, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of May 26, 2022, this project has been awarded. Preliminary work has already begun on this project. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The Town of Walkersville is replacing approximately 4,800 linear feet of existing 4 and 6 water main with 8 ductile iron, class 52 along Antietam Dr., Hickory Hill Rd., Raleigh Rd., and Wildwood Ct. This will include (8) 8"valve, (8) 6" valve to hydrant, (67) water meter pit, (1) 4 temporary water by-pass, (67) 1 house connections, and installation of 12 x 8 tapping sleeve valve off of Rte. 194 water main to Wildwood Ct. The scope of work includes: 1. Meet with Town of Walkersville representatives to discuss and advise on overall project. 2. Create base mapping for the water main replacement project. 3. Prepare design drawings in acceptable format for the water mains. These drawings will include location and key maps, general notes and index, sediment and erosion control details and notes, water main plan and profile drawings, and standard details. 4. Develop construction cost estimates. 5. Obtain construction permits, approvals, and right of ways. Respond to all review comments and request for review comments and requests for information from Frederick County, State Highway, and/or the permitting agency. 6. Create bid-ready documents when all review comments are incorporated and permits and approvals are obtained. 7. Conduct a Pre-Bid Meeting, prepare meeting minutes and answer all contractors inquires regarding the construction documents and prepare and distribute any addenda as may be required. 8. Advise and answer questions that arise prior and during construction phase of project.
