The Work within this section includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all equipment, labor and materials and performing all operations necessary to construct and maintain erosion and sedimentation control devices and/or systems in accordance with the specifications, applicable drawings and Contract Documents. Located at 901 Centerville Road, Lancaster, PA 17601, the work for this project generally includes removing 445 LF of existing 5" cast iron piping, installing 445 LF of 8" PVC SDR-35 sanitary sewer piping and a manhole, removing existing concrete flow channels and casting in place new channels in the same manholes, 60 LF of concrete encasement, and ESC controls, as shown in the Drawings and described in the Contract Documents. A nonmandatory pre-Bid conference may be held at the project site if deemed necessary and can be safely accomplished due to safety considerations and restrictions based on COVID19. A minimum of 7 days' notice will be provided if a pre-Bid conference is held. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project if a pre-Bid conference is held. Bidders are not required to attend and participate in the conference. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Work must start after students and teachers are no longer in the building. The first day available for work is June 8, 2021. Contractor must indicate to the School District at least a week ahead of time when work is scheduled to occur for shutdowns of sanitary sewer service during that period of time. o A note was added to sheets C-1 and C-2 in Addendum 1 noting that any work scheduled to the combined receiving manhole for the elementary and middle school must occur on a Friday, with the concrete being allowed to cure on a Saturday and Sunday. On the following Monday, the manhole must be capable of receiving flow from Centerville Middle School, while a plug mayremain in the newly installed PVC pipe penetration. Centerville Middle School must have full access to sewer facilities every Monday through Thursday during the duration of the work.o Substantial Completion is scheduled for July 9, 2021, and Final Completion is scheduled for July 21, 2021
