The work is generally described as follows: Sanitary sewer main improvements on Elm Street, including approximately 400 lineal feet of six (6) inch PVC sewer main, 50 lineal feet of four (4) inch sewer service line, two (2) new manholes, and reconnection of six (6) existing sewer services. Bids are required for the entire project as set forth in the specifications, and all work shall be completed within 30 work days. At the time the contract is awarded, the contractor shall possess a Class A license. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening directed to the City Engineer at Sutter Creek City Hall in writing to grant.wrfed@gmail.com. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990 and payment to the contractor shall be in accordance with Section 9-1.16, "Progress Payments" of the State Standard Specifications and the project specifications. The successful bidder shall furnish a fully executed payment bond and performance bond. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and further reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids.
