Information regarding a timeline for bidding and construction has not been determined. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Amador Water Agency (AWA) seeks to obtain the services of a qualified engineering consultant to perform the design of the "Tanner WTP Flow Control & Reliability Improvements (TAN 1B.1)" project, for the Tanner Water Treatment Plant, in Sutter Creek, CA. The existing Tanner Water Treatment Plant (WTP), does not have sufficient reliable treatment or backwash recycling capacity to meet the needs of its existing customers and commitments, nor can it reliably meet the permitted WTP capacity of approximately 6 MGD. To provide for reliable water production needs, with the largest unit out of service, and address the capacity restrictions at the Tanner WTP and backwash recycling unit, the Tanner WTP Flow Control & Reliability Improvements (TAN 1B.1) Project is proposed, as described in the Capacity Study. This Project proposes to replace and install numerous automated valves, flow meters, piped sections, installation of a third recycling tank for decanting backwash water, upgrades to the water treatment plant, upgrades to the existing backwash pumping and recycling units to allow operation of the added tank, backwash and sludge return to waste upgrades, upgrades to the electrical systems and controls for the plant, fencing, and pneumatic upgrades, among other improvements. The Agency reserves the right and intends to negotiate the final scope of work, personnel participation, and cost proposal before entering into the contract. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
