Site work for a water / sewer project in Sutter Creek, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Amador Water Agency (AWA, Agency) seeks experienced and qualified firms to provide engineering and related professional services, to implement Project "Ione Backwash Handling Improvements (IONE 1A.9)" (Project) from the 2022 AWA Tanner and Ione Water Treatment Plant Capacity Study and 2020 AWA Water Master Plan Study, to design water treatment plant improvements. The selected engineering firm's primary responsibilities shall be to design the Project, including obtaining permits, developing public works contract documents, performing land and soil surveys, preparing plans and specifications, preparing bid documents, bid phase assistance, submittal review and engineering support during construction. The Proposer is encouraged to expand the definition of the scope of services in the proposal as may be deemed appropriate for adequate investigation of the Project. Qualified consultants are invited to submit qualifications in accordance with the requirements of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) on or before the due date listed on the cover page, or as may be modified by future addendum. In order for the Consultant to be considered qualified, the firm or project team must demonstrate experience with the successful completion of similar types of engineering designs, managing water supply, treatment and distribution systems, interpreting and analyzing water treatment plant data, modifying water treatment processes, and an understanding of the Agency's water systems. The successful Consultant must be aware of the budget limitations and be able to provide a clear plan for completing the required work that meets the project's goals within the project budget constraints and schedule. The existing Ione Water Treatment Plant (WTP) does not have sufficient reliable backwash capacity to meet the needs of the existing Ione customers and commitments, nor can it reliably meet the permitted WTP capacity of approximately 4 MGD with the existing backwash handling facilities. The Ione Backwash Handling Improvements (IONE 1A.9) Project, as described in the Capacity Study, proposed to provide for reliable water production needs, with the largest unit out of service, and address the backwash capacity restrictions at the Ione WTP. This Project proposes to install backwash drying beds at the Ione Reservoir site, along with access improvements, slope and soil stabilization, pipeline installation, fencing, security improvements, along with SCADA, electrical, instrumentation, process & integration upgrades, among other items. All aspects of project design, environmental and procurement shall be compatible with federal funding requirements, including the funding requirements of Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF), Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA), USDA's Rural Development & Rural Utilities Services (USDA), and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs. Questions received within one week of the submittal deadline may not be answered. Qualifications, questions or requests for information about this RFQ should be addressed as follows: Amador Water Agency, Attn. Brandt Cook 12800 Ridge Road Sutter Creek, CA 95685 Telephone: (209) 257-5206 Email: bcook@amadorwater.org The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
