The Goal of the project is restoration and stabilization of 1260 linear feet of degraded channel. The project will restore natural stream function and habitat as well as stabilize vertically incised and unstable banks using natural stream design principles. Bank stabilization, grade control, and habitat enhancement using riffle-run-pool-glide facets are proposed throughout the project area. All questions pertaining to this project should be directed to Linda Hodges, Senior Procurement Specialist no later than 12:00 P.M., on July 16, 2021 in writing via email to: linda.hodges@jamescitycountyva.gov. Addendum will be issued by James City County Purchasing Bid Security in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Performance and Payment bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required by the Owner prior to Contract Award. The cost of bonds is to be included with the bid price. Each Bidder shall submit a letter of certification from their surety that an Erosion and Sediment Control Surety Bond in the amount of $50,000.00 will be issued if the Bidder is awarded the contract. See Section 107, paragraph 4.4. Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia and the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner.
