Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Williamsburg, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The purpose of this solicitation is to request proposals for design services for a new pier and kayak launch at New Quarter Park in York County, Virginia. The project involves designing a boardwalk with a wood beam substructure supported by helical pile foundations, along with a wood superstructure deck and rail system. Other foundation types may also be proposed and will be considered. The boardwalk must provide an ADA compliant pedestrian route with suitable railing systems. Additionally, a manufactured EZ floating dock shall be attached to the boardwalk by a railed gangway that can be hinged to provide access during the full cycle of water levels. A manufactured EZ kayak launch shall be fixed to the floating dock to allow for easy launching and boarding by vessel. As of June 30, 2025, a timeline for bidding and construction has yet to be announced.
