Site work for a water / sewer project in Freer, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project will consist of dam repairs at the San Diego/Rosita Creeks Watershed, Site 2, Duval County, Texas. The dam is a single-purpose floodwater retarding structure (FRS) designed and built by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in 1961. The structure is an integral part of the San Diego Rosita Creek Watershed. The structure is classified as low hazard. Site No. 2 is located on San Diego Creek a tributary of the San Fernando Creek. This site is located approximately 10 miles northwest of San Diego, Duval County, Texas The concrete plunge basin's right side slope section has been displaced and is lying upside down in the basin floor. The mesh reinforcing steel is exposed, and it is obvious that the reinforcing steel was not placed in the center of the slab. There are trees and brush growing in the displaced section. There is a large tree growing on the left side and in line with the 48-inch conduit outlet. The objective of this repair design to replace the existing basin with a new concrete basin. Construction performance time is 60 calendar days. The estimated magnitude of work range is between $100,000 - $250,000.
