Site work and paving for a road / highway in Litchfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project will consist of pavement rehabilitation Fern Avenue, commencing near the intersection of East Street (Connecticut State Route 118) and proceeding northerly for a distance of 3,155 feet. The pavement rehabilitation will involve full-depth reconstruction for approximately 770 feet from East Street through the intersection of East Litchfield Road. The remainder of the project (approximately 2385 feet) will receive a bituminous concrete overlay with full-depth bituminous patching in areas where necessary Contract Goal: 3% Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Town of Litchfield (Municipality) hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex. A Surety Company Bond, on the form furnished by the Town, for at least 5 percent of the amount of the bid must accompany each proposal. A certified check will not be accepted. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
