Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Marion, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Marion Engineering Department is requesting quotes to place 5 concrete pavement above 4 of compacted subbase and 12 of compacted subgrade. The base quote shall include 6x6 #6 galvanized welded wire mesh placed in the lower third of the concrete. In lieu of the wire mesh, the contractor may install 3/8 diameter epoxy coated steel rebar reinforcement at 18 O.C. both ways. The concrete is to have a light broom finish, and brooming methods are to be reviewed with the Parks Department prior to constructing. The base quote also includes compaction testing of the subgrade by an independent third party. Work shall be completed by May 27th, 2022. Liquated damages in the amount of $300.00 per Calendar Day will be assessed for work not completed by the specified completion date. The quote includes all labor, material and equipment to install the basketball court that is in conformance with the most current version of the Statewide Urban Design and Specifications programs (SUDAS), City of Marion Supplemental Specifications, and the MUTCD.
