Renovation of a municipal facility in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This Request for Proposals (the RFP) is an invitation by the City of Kingston (the City) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Kingston Fleet Maintenance Garage (KFMG) - PV Solar Design/Build and Kingston Fire and Rescue Maintenance Garage (KFRMG) - PV Solar Design/Build, as further described in Part 2 of the RFP Particulars (the Deliverables). Proposals will be considered for the design, supply and installation of a PV solar system on the roof of the new Kingston Fleet Maintenance Garage (as constructed in September 2021) as well as the design, supply and installation of a ground mounted install at the Kingston Fire and Rescue Maintenance Garage which is currently occupied and operational. The Proponent is encouraged to propose design build services for each Solar Install with each to be separately evaluated. The Proponent is encouraged to propose a further costs reduction for one or both projects should both projects be awarded, providing economies of scale to the Proponent. Proponents are to note that the works may not be concurrently performed due to permitting, or other development issues, but the goal is that they can be completed at the same time. The Proponent shall provide a proposed schedule for each project for consideration in the evaluations. *Award amount was not released for publication.
