Working plans call for the construction of a 14,750-square-foot municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; parking garage; parking garage; pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

As of 09/30/2021, all bids were rejected. Estimated Budget: $2.4M - $2.8M Project start date will be provided in Notice to Proceed issued to successful bidders; on-site construction is estimated to commence on or about 11-1-2021; duration is anticipated to be 270 calendar days. The new 14,750 SF Public Works Facility shall be a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB). The unfinished portion of the building consist of approximately 13,500 SF of Vehicle Storage / Maintenance Garage bays, plus Mechanical and Storage Rooms. The 1,200 SF finished Employee Services spaces include Office, Lunch / Conference Room, Toilet and Shower Rooms. An alternate will be requested for use of a "Pole Building" in lieu of the PEMB The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay PennBid a fee of 1/3% of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to Lehigh Township, must accompany each bid. Attention of bidders is called to all the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, Steel Products Procurement Act, Public Works Employment Verification, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The Township of Lehigh reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids thereof, and waive any informalities in the bidding, as they deem in the interest of the Township.
