General: In support for capital improvements, maintenance, and emergency response projects: 1. Geotechnical and geologic investigations and design-level reports; 2. Construction materials testing including source inspection using certified personnel and as outlined in the Santa Barbara County Public Works Department's Quality Assurance Program 3. Laboratory testing of soils and rocks using accredited laboratory facilities. Professional Licensing Requirements: C - Civil Engineer, licensed in the State of California, as defined by the Professional Engineers Act, and if fully competent to practice geotechnical (soils) engineering; or GE - Geotechnical Engineer (Soil or Soils Engineer), licensed in the State of California, as defined by the Professional Engineers Act; and/or CEG-Certified Engineering Geologist, licensed in the State of California, as defined by the Geologist and Geophysicist Act as appropriate.
