2909.100 Project Location: Barrel Springs Elementary School, Desert Willow Magnet Academy, and Los Amigos Dual Immersion School Replace and upgrade fire alarm panels and devices at three schools, requires as needed running and pulling new cabling, replacement and addition of devices, programming and full commissioning of all devices and systems. This project is anticipated to start on November 1, 2021 with a 90 Calendar Day duration. All work shall be performed during 2nd shift (Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm), or may be approved as an alternate 4-10 2nd shift schedule (Monday through Thursday. 3:00pm - 1:30am - with no cost premiums / adds approved in this regard), and must not impact school schedule in any manner. Project requires a $50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Dollar) contingency value included in base bid. All bidders and final successful awarded Contractor shall be fully responsible for understanding the complete scope of work including all existing conditions whether discussed at Mandatory Job Walk/Pre-Bid Meeting or not. Bidders that satisfactorily attend the mandatory Job-Walk/Pre-Bid Meeting are strongly encouraged to schedule and self-inspect all affected schools and spaces as may be needed such to insure they are fully aware of the conditions that may impact the construction/implementation of the Project Scope. Access for inspections shall be provided through coordination with the Construction Management Firm within a maximum of 48 hours advance notice from bidders request. Access Times may be limited dependent upon Program use. No discussion or comments of the project shall be entertained at these inspections, bidders must formally RFI any questions as a result of said inspections. Period of allowable independent inspections shall be defined subsequent to Job Walk/Pre-Bid Meeting.
