Saving Project...

Renovation of an educational facility in Williamsburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hereinafter referred to as the "Agency", is seeking one qualified vendor, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor", to provide the following services: hull painting services on the Susan Constant at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation's Jamestown Settlement, 2110 Jamestown Road Williamsburg, VA 23185. Susan Constant will be docked, in the water, at the end of the Jamestown Settlement Pier. This area of the pier will be closed to the public to allow the contractor to use aerial lifts to work on the sides of the ship. The vessel will be shifted at the dock by the owner's crew to allow painting of both port and starboard sides. The owner will provide two work rafts for the contractor's use to paint the lower sections of the hull. The contractor shall employ measures to ensure paint surface preparation debris and painting products do not enter the water around the vessel. The contractor is responsible to provide and ensure use of all required safety equipment when working on work rafts or aerial lifts on or over the water.
