Anyone requesting, reviewing, or copying Plans and Specifications for this project agrees that they are doing so for the sole purpose of submitting a bid on the project. Bidder further agrees the Plans and Specifications are the sole property of the State; Each bid in excess of $100,000.00 must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or draft in the amount of 5% of the base bid and all add alternates and drawn on a State or National Bank, or a 10% bid bond issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota and made payable to the Board of Regents of the State of South Dakota. The BOR reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities therein. Removal of asbestos-containing materials including thermal system insulation, vintage fume hoods and associated ductwork, and floor tile and adhesive and base cove and adhesive from Berg Hall in conjunction with a renovation of the building. The asbestos work is phased to be completed before the renovation. Demolition as required to access fume hood ductwork and flooring is the responsibility of the abatement contractor under this contract. Work to be performed under this section includes the removal, handling, movement through the building, loading, transport, and disposal of asbestos containing materials and other hazardous wastes. Decontamination of building materials, equipment, electrical, and mechanical items and thorough cleaning of all building surfaces is also part of the work. The work scope precedes a renovation of Berg Hall and includes: First and Second Floor Thermal system insulation Limited duct insulation Vintage fume hoods Floor tile and adhesive Base cove and adhesive *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
