Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Wood River, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work in general will include: Removal of existing laminated timber deck, railing and timber pier over waterway with minimal debris, excavation, steel piling, construction of new timber slab bridge superstructure, timber railing, pier, borrow fill, asphalt pavement removal, heavy riprap and geotextile fabric, mobilization, traffic control, erosion control, restoration, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work. The proposals shall be submitted on the forms furnished with the specifications. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the owner equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal or a bid bond of a bonding company duly authorized to do business in the State of Wisconsin in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. This proposal guarantee shall be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. This project is part of a WisDOT LRIP-S Program and includes existing partial bridge removal and rehabilitation at Wood River and North Williams Road. Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date of opening. The Town of Wood River reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposals and to waive any informalities therein. The Work will be substantially completed on or before April 1, 2022, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before May 15, 2022.
