This project is a Prevailing Wage project under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates, Act 422 of 1961, P.L 987, amended, administered b the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful prime contractors will be required to comply with all requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates Act. The successful prime contractors shall comply with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, Act 222 of October 27, 1955 (P.L. 744) (43 PS Section 951, et. seq.) of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prohibiting discrimination because of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex, national origin, handicap or disability, by employers, employment agencies, labor organizations, contractors and others. Any bidder taking exception to any of the bid lines/items MUST justify said exception via written narrative and filed with the Architect for review and consideration jointly with the Owner. Any exceptions taken without written justification are subject to possible rejection by the Owner.
