By Order of the Board of School Directors Erik Zebley Board Secretary DLN Project Summary The purpose of the project is to replace the existing air-cooled chiller, chilled water pumps, chilled water pumps' variable speed drives and chilled water plant automatic temperature control system, to provide a reliable and energy efficient means of cooling for the school. Recommendations include: replacing the one (1) existing 140 ton air-cooled chiller in kind, replace the two (2) existing constant flow primary chilled water pumps and associated valving in kind, replace the two (2) existing variable flow secondary chilled water pumps and associated valving in kind, replace the two (2) existing variable speed drives serving the secondary chilled water pumps in kind, replace the existing chilled water plant Automatic Temperature Controls (ATC) with new controls to perform the existing sequence of operations and comply with the district's current standards. Under a deduct alternate (Alternate Bid 1), the two (2) existing primary chilled water pumps and two (2) existing secondary chilled water pumps shall remain. Only the bearings, couplings and strainers in each of the pumps shall be replaced, and each pump shall be laser aligned. Electrical work shall consist of disconnecting power from and providing power to the mechanical equipment from the existing panel boards and providing new breakers. Scope of Work General: The scope of work as identified in the recommendations herein-above and further identified hereinbelow shall be completed by March 5th, 2022 at the very latest. Start-up and testing services shall be scheduled to occur as soon as weather permits, but prior to the start of the district's cooling season. Scope of Work: The scope of work for the project shall be as indicated on the attached documents. Below is a summary of this work: A. Replace the one (1) existing 140 ton air-cooled chiller and associated piping, valving, and vibration isolation in kind. B. Replace the two (2) existing constant flow primary chilled water pumps and associated piping and valving in kind C. Replace the two (2) existing variable flow secondary chilled water pumps and associated piping and valving in kind. D. Replace the two (2) existing variable speed drives serving the secondary chilled water pumps in kind. E. Replace the existing chilled water plant Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system with new controls that perform the existing sequence of operations, comply with the district's current standards, and are integrated with the existing building's controls system(s). F. Disconnect power from and provide power to the mechanical equipment from the existing panel boards and providing new breakers. G. Properly dispose of demolished equipment and materials.
