Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the addition of a 2,000-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

QA date Tuesday 12-7, 1:00 PM . The University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research - Mineral Processing Facility Expansion project includes the approximate 2,000 square foot addition to the existing Mineral Processing building. The design includes the construction of a new attached addition that will complement the functions of existing Mineral Processing building already located on the CAER campus. The new addition will include space for dry materials storage and processing equipment. The new structure will include concrete foundations, structural steel framing, and metal panels. The design will need to incorporate the mechanical/electrical/ plumbing infrastructure for all new and existing equipment to be located in the completed facility The time for substantial completion for all phases shall be one hundred fifty (150) Calendar Days and Final Completion shall be thirty (30) days thereafter. Substantial Completion will include all site restoration completed, site clean-up and fully functional. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions and Special Conditions Questions Due: 11-30-21 Anyone wishing to discuss specific items is requested to submit the items in writing to Mike Guyette Contracting Officer, no later than 1pm on 11/30/2021. The University of Kentucky, Construction Procurement Section, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the University may be served. 10.9% for minority owned and 6.9% for women owned contractors
