MAPLE STREET & TRAFFIC AVENUE PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL AND CITYWIDE TRAFFIC SIGNAL BACKPLATES PROJECT The City of Sumner in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin in consideration for an award. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee (certified or cashier’s check or approved bond) payable to the City of Sumner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal price. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish the satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Sumner. The Engineer’s estimated range for this project is between $350,000 and $450,000. The City of Sumner reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a Proposal of the lowest responsible Bidder, reject any or all Bids, republish the Call for Bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
