Site work and paving for a civil project in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Bids are requested for the replacement of a portion of an existing 10" diameter force main. Approximately 1,450 LF of 10" diameter ductile iron pipe shall be installed adjacent to the existing force with tie-ins at both ends. The existing force main shall be abandoned in place. Pavement restoration is required in roadways. Replacement is located from Tolna Junction Road to the air release valve at East Tolna Road in Shrewsbury Township. The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 as amended. Wage rates are included in the contract documents. All bidders shall be required to furnish a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Upon the acceptance of the proposal by the SBMA, the successful bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount to the SBMA. No bid may be withdrawn by the bidder for sixty (60) days after closing time for receipt of bids. The SBMA reserves the right, which is agreed and understood by all bidders, to accept or reject any or all bids and waive irregularities.
