Renovation of a residential development in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Replacement and installation of bedroom windows with windows that meet Alberta Building Code egress at PIN4. Official bid documents must be obtained from Merx and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. SCOPE STATEMENT 1.1. Replace the existing bedroom windows with windows that meet Alberta Building Code egress requirements as follows: 1.1.1. Provide an unobstructed opening of not less than 0.35 m2 in area with no dimension less than 380 mm, 1.1.2. The ability to maintain the required opening in the event of emergency without the need for additional support. 1.2. The dimensions of the new window to match the existing dimensions. 1.3. Three windows per unit (24 windows in total). 1.4. Contractor to confirm dimensions of ALL windows prior to final order. 1.5. New windows to have pvc jamb extensions and pvc nailing flange. 1.6. Installation to meet manufacturer’s specifications. 1.7. Water proofing to meet current building codes. 1.8. Windows to be surrounded in 3.5” white smart board. 1.9. New vinyl j-channel to match existing siding. 1.10. Metal drip flashing and reverse flashing as required by current building codes. 1.11. Inside casing to be 3” mdf casing butt joined. Primed and painted with white latex paint. 1.12. Windows to be North American Fenestration Standard (NAFS) certified – Class R with minimum performance of PG40 rating. Minimum positive and negative design pressures of 1440 Pa. Minimum water penetration resistance of 330 Pa. Minimum Canadian air infiltration/exfiltration of A2. Triple glazed, Argon filled, 2 Low E coatings, one for gain and one for shield. Glazing performance required: R-Value of 6069, U-Factor of .13 and SHGC 0.3 – 0.37. 1.13. Windows shop drawings to be approved by CHC prior to placing final order. 1.14. For any wood rot or structural failure found that requires repair, obtain CHC approval prior to proceeding.
