Site work for a water / sewer project in Concord, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization and demobilization, locating District facilities to satisfy the District's USA North (811) obligations, the installation of approximately 2.7-miles of 6-inch and 8-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and ductile iron (DI) water mains and appurtenances, installation of temporary above ground piping (topline), installation and testing of cathodic protection, installation of hydrants, relocation of meter and meter boxes, abandonment in place of existing mains and appurtenances, abandoning via slurry fill pipes 8-inch and larger in diameter, transporting of materials, on-site storage, excavation, sheeting, shoring, bracing, draining, collection and disposal of all treated water contained within the existing pipes and all water used to flush new installed pipes, disposal of any ground water encountered to the local storm drain in accordance with all applicable requirements referenced in Paragraph 01060-2.1, Dewatering Governing Regulations, whichever is most stringent, for discharge of water to the local storm drain systems, backfill, compaction, site restoration, tie-ins and renewal and replacement of water service laterals, concrete and asphalt concrete (AC) pavement surface repairs and restoration,curb, gutter and sidewalk concrete repairs and restoration, preparing and administering traffic control, and obtaining encroachment permits from the City of Pleasant Hill. The Project site is located within the City of Pleasant Hill. The Project shall achieve Substantial Completion 470 days after Notice to Proceed is issued, and Final Completion shall occur within thirty (30) days thereafter, pursuant to Paragraph 00810-2.0, Time Allowed for Completion. Time for commencement and completion of the Work is important and is to be of the essence of the Contract. A District attendant will stamp the bids with date and time received. No accommodations will be made for submission of bids prior to the time indicated, and bids will not be accepted after the time indicated. The District requires that all bidding participants shall practice responsible social distancing when delivering bids, complying all applicable State of California and/or Contra Costa County COVID-19 guidelines in order to protect the health and well-being of the public and District staff. Bids received will be opened and read aloud via a conference call line available for participants to listen to the bid opening. Bidders will be required to submit a fully executed Disclaimer of Liability and Warranties form to receive the download link. The electronic version of the contract documents is for reference only; the half-size hard copy contract drawings included with the bidding documents shall be the version used for bid calculation purposes. The last day for bidder questions is Friday, March 4, 2022
