Areas around Tibbles and Castlerock have been identified and require site preparation for planting. This contract involves the removal of the current overstory, pile burning of slash and waste, and the creation of plantable spots for tree planting. All works are intended for this winter on frozen ground to minimize soil disturbance. Snow plowing may be required to access project areas. Please see treatment specifications for further detail on the project. This project is funded by the Forest Employment Program (FEP). It is a 3-year program, created in 2019 to provide short-term employment opportunities for contractors and workers in interior BC that have been affected by indefinite and permanent closures in the forest sector. To assist FEP in determining the success of their program, the successful contractor of this tender will be asked to fill out the FEP Phase2 Contractor Form as seen in the Appendices
