Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Ramsey, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work generally consists of reconstructing the entrance to City of Ramsey Fire Station No.1 and a mill and overlay improvements to the adjacent parking lot. The work is estimated to include: o 461 square yards of pavement removal, o 4,117 square yards of pavement milling, o 420 tons of bituminous pavement, o 238 lineal feet of concrete curb and gutter, and o Miscellaneous other improvements. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded on January 25, 2022, and that work may begin once spring road restrictions are lifted. Instructions for online bidding are included in the Project Specifications. Each bidder shall submit a bid bond made payable to the City of Ramsey, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond. The online bid must be completed and submitted, all addenda acknowledged and acknowledgement uploaded to the site, and a copy of the bid bond uploaded to the site. The original bid bond must be delivered to the City within 2 business days after the bid opening. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least 45 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City of Ramsey reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities.
