The Project includes: Public roadway improvements along Johnson Drive and Commerce Drive and Stoneridge Drive which are designed by Kier & Wright, subject to applicable City of Pleasanton road plans and specifications, including the incorporated 2018 Caltrans standard specifications, with an estimated cost of approximately $12M; and Improvements to Stoneridge Drive and Johnson Drive at the I-680 northbound off-ramp and constructing a second on-ramp lane to northbound I-680, which are designed by Mark Thomas, subject to the most current Caltrans plans and specifications, and have an estimated cost of $7.7M, of which approximately $5.2M is anticipated to come from Alameda County Transportation Commission Measure BB funds. Measure BB incorporates Alameda County's Local Business Contract Equity Program, which includes both LBE and SLBE components: for this project, 60% of the actual work must be done by LBEs, and 20% of the work must be done by SLBE's. The work is anticipated to occur early next year and a portion of the project will be subject to certain wildlife timing constraints. Because Costco is performing this work on behalf of the City of Pleasanton, the selected bidder will be required to provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract price. Because this project is being performed on behalf of the City of Pleasanton, compliance with all applicable Labor Code provisions including the payment of prevailing wages will be required.
