The City of Pleasanton is seeking statement of qualifications from professional consultants to provide the programmatic and space planning for City of Pleasanton (City) Operations Service Center (OSC) corporation yard facilities. The OSC facility is located at 3333 Busch Road, Pleasanton, CA and occupies approximately 15 acres. The facility is home to the Operations Services Department (OSD) seven divisions (Administration, Business Services, Environmental Services, Support Services, Streets and Signs, Parks, and Utilities) made up of 100 full-time employees and approximately 23 part-time temporary employees. In addition, the OSC facility includes the Fire Department training center and the Police Department gun range and evidence storage. The City is planning to construct a new water treatment plant in the southwest corner of the OSC facility. The new water treatment plant will occupy approximately 1.6 acres. The addition of the new treatment plant will displace existing material storage and waste processing areas and will likely impact vehicle circulation within the OSC facility. This space study project will assess the impacts of the new treatment plant on the OSC facility and make recommendations for mitigation measures. The project will also evaluate OSC space needs of the entire facility for existing and future conditions. A key goal is how can the City make the most efficient use of the space it has. The addition of the new treatment plant is a major driver but there are likely other opportunities to make improvements to how space is used. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
