MARYLAND The Charles County Public Schools, La Plata, Maryland, requests sealed bids for J.P. Ryon Elementary School Classroom Addition, Bid Number: JPRESKA 1- 2021, PSC Number 08.038.19 LP. The project shall include, but not be limited to, the construction of a five-classroom kindergarten addition and activity room. Construction shall include: site grading, stormwater, and general site construction for the addition. Other ancillary work associated with the addition and site shall be performed as well. The contractor or supplier who provides materials, supplies, equipment and/or services for this construction project shall attempt to achieve a minimum of 18 percent of the total contract value is made directly or indirectly. All general contractors and subcontractors including certified MBE firms, when bidding as general or prime contractors, are required to attempt to achieve the MBE subcontracting goals from certified MBE firms approved by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT). The MBE Participation Schedule shall include the name of each certified MBE that will participate in the project including its respective MBE classification, and shall include the items of work to be performed or furnished and the committed price or the percentage of the contract to be paid to each MBE for the work or supply. When the contract goal of 18 percent, including the sub-goal of 7% cannot be met, the bidder or offeror shall submit with its bid the Certified MBE Utilization and Fair Solicitation Affidavit (Attachment A), and the MBE Participation Schedule (Attachment B) (indicating partial or no participation). The low responsive, responsible bidder shall submit additional minority business enterprise material and supporting data, which is specified in the bid documents within ten (10) working days after notification that the firm is the low responsive, responsible bidder. The failure of an offeror to complete and submit all of the required forms shall result in a determination that the proposal is not susceptible of being selected for award.
