The Town of Vinton, Virginia is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide professional engineering, construction engineering, and inspection services for Hardy Road and Gus Nicks Boulevard Midblock Pedestrian Crosswalks The Project is funded by the Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG), formerly known as Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) The Project is governed and administered under the VDOT's Locally Administered Projects (LAP) Manual, in accordance with the current Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA), VDOT's, Town of Vinton's, and Roanoke County's standards, specifications, policies and procedures, as well as American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials' (AASHTO) Bicycle and Pedestrian design guidelines Project activities are to be performed in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Town of Vinton solicits participation from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Small, Women-owned and Minority-owned (SWaM) Businesses.
