The South Tahoe Public Utility District (District) is seeking proposals from engineering firms specializing in well rehabilitation and electrical design to assess the condition and develop a design for rehabilitation of the existing Al Tahoe Well #2, and to provide design services for addition of emergency power to support both the Al Tahoe Well and the nearby Bayview Well. The selected consultant will be expected to assist the District to: 1) develop an Alternatives Evaluation to assess options for well rehabilitation and for emergency power, 2) develop a Basis of Design Report summarizing the details of the design options selected by the District from the alternatives evaluated, and 3) develop plans, specifications, sequence of construction, and estimates of probable costs for construction of the project. The work will be performed by the selected consultant under the District's Master Services Agreement for Consulting Services (see template in Attachment E) and a Task Order for a defined Scope of Work. This project has secured funding in part by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the form of a grant for a diesel generator, and its construction (if selected as the preferred method to provide backup power) must be complete by December 2024.)
