Site work and outdoor lighting for a road / highway in Ayer, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
The Town of Ayer Department of Public Works (OWNER) will accept bids for Main St. Street Light Improvements 2022. The work involves the installation of 7 new decorative streets lights on Main Street and West Main Street, to replace existing light poles and lights. The work will require removal of existing lights, cleaning of existing pole foundation, furnishing and install adaptor plates, anchor bolts, new pole, light fixture and lamps, controllers and associated wiring. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the General Bids. This advertisement does not obligate the Owner for any costs associated with preparing or submitting bids. The successful General Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
