Renovation of a multi-residential development in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

All Bids Rejected Project will be re-advertised and re-bid The WEST SPRINGFIELD HOUSING AUTHORITY, (the Owner and Awarding Authority), invites sealed bids from GENERAL CONTRACTORS for construction of ROOF REPLACEMENT Phase 1, at its Grove Village Elderly Housing Development located in West Springfield, Massachusetts adjunct to Grove Street & Druids Lane; in accordance with the documents prepared by Leon Pernice And Associates Inc., AIA, Architects-Planners-Interior Designers, 34 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, West Springfield, Massachusetts. The Project consists of removal of asphalt shingle roofing systems and related items on two existing buildings and their replacement with similar systems and items. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Notice to Proceed for this Project may be issued as much as 90 days from the date the West Springfield Housing Authority approves the construction contract. The work is estimated to cost $258,354.00 including Base Bid and two Add-Alternates. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and to State minimum wage rates as indicated in 00.73.43-PREVAILING WAGES & LABOR REGULATIONS. General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAMM) in the category of work GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION and must submit with its Bid a DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General Bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (david.mcommunity Buildingclave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date. NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all Alternates) and made payable to the West Springfield Housing Authority.
