Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Citrus Heights, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
License required: B - General Building Contractor Scope of Work including but not limited to: Demolition of existing play structure and playground flooring; Grading, excavation, and prep for new sub-grade at the playground area; Installation of new pour-in-place rubber playground flooring; Removal and replacement of existing AC paving, concrete walks, curbs, fencing, and pedestrian walk; New concrete path of travel from play area and the main campus; Demolition and replacement of existing drinking fountain; Procurement and installation of new fabric shade structures; and Minor modifications to adjacent Staff and Kinder restrooms. Playground structure to be done by others. Overall coordination of the Project will be the responsibility of the District Representative. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by Cashier's Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond from a surety authorized to do business in California for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, including additive Alternate Bids, made payable to the District. The above-mentioned check or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the Bidder shall, if selected by the District, execute the Contract, in conformance with the Contract Documents. For more information, refer to Section 00 21 13, Article 1, Section 1.06. Bids shall not expire for a period of 90 days after the date set for the bid opening. Within ten (10) days after notification of the District's Notice of Intent to Award the Contract, the successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond. For further information, refer to Sections 00 61 13.13 and 00 61 13.16. The governing board of the District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularity in any proposals received. The successful Bidder shall have at least one supervising technician on call in the event that the existing fire alarm, security clocks, intercom, telephone and data systems are damaged during the course of construction or the Contract requires relocation of existing devices. The supervising technician is required to be on Site during all aspects of repair, modifications and testing. For fire alarm modifications and repairs the supervising technician is required to have at a minimum NICET LEVEL 2 Certification or equal. The District may consider optional Underwriters Laboratories Certification, factory training or contractor demonstrated equal experience/training with prior approval. The supervising technician must also have a minimum 5-years installation experience.
