As of December 3, 2025, per the owner, the city is currently pursuing funding for the project, so they have not selected a design firm or general contractor. A start date for construction has not been determined. ________________________________________ The City of Citrus Heights is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services for the Old Auburn Road Complete Streets Project (Phase 1). This project is funded by a federal Active Transportation (ATP) grant administered through Caltrans Office of Local Assistance. The Project is the first phase to transform Old Auburn Road to a complete street from Tiara Way (west of Sunrise Boulevard) to Garry Oak Drive (east of Fair Oaks Boulevard). A conceptual plan for the Project is incorporated into the Old Auburn Complete Streets Plan, which is available on the city's site. Proposer's submittal shall be as follows: A maximum of fifteen (15) sheets of paper with printing on both sides (double-sided) totaling thirty (30) pages of information, inclusive of the cover letter, resumes, graphics, etc. Required Local Assistance paperwork does not count toward the page limit. One (1) electronic (Adobe PDF) on a memory stick and three (3) bound copies. Proposal must be received (not postmarked) and date stamped by a designated city employee. Proposals shall be marked: Proposal for Old Auburn Road Complete Streets Project (Phase 1) There is no Pre-Proposal Meeting for this RFP. Questions regarding this RFP shall be submitted in writing, by email only, to the General Services Department and must be received no later than 4:00 PM, February 24, 2022. The Project shall comply with requirements of the Caltrans LAPM regarding DBE participation. The City has established a DBE goal of 30%.
