Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, or a certified check payable to the order of, Community Consolidated School District 181 certified by a responsible bank for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond, execute the Contract and proceed with the work. Said performance and payment bond shall be furnished within seventy-two (72) hours after notification of award in an amount not to exceed one hundred percent (100%) of the net bid price The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part. A contract will be awarded only after a formal notice is given to a bidder pursuant to action by the Board. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all irregularities and formalities with respect to bids. All decisions of the Board shall be considered final. The Board reserves the right to reject a bid from a bidder who, in the Board's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project or who does not submit the bid per the Invitation to Bid requirements.
