Job No. D-91-452-20, FAU 2711 Illinois Route 131 (Green Bay Road) from Wadsworth Road to Sunset Avenue, Phase II Engineering Services, Lake County, Region One/District One. This project requires 22% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase II engineering services are required for improvements to the Illinois Route 131 (Green Bay Road) corridor from Wadsworth Road to Sunset Avenue. The Consultant's work is expected to consist of preparing plans, specifications, and estimates to current standards for the reconstruction and widening of the roadway, including modernization and replacement of traffic signals, lighting, improvements to drainage, and installation of a new shared-use path. The proposed improvement also consists of modifying the Illinois Route 131 roadway profile to accommodate the future extension of a Waukegan National Airport runway, and the construction of a pumping station. The work may also include topographic survey, geotechnical services, and all other incidental work required to complete Phase II contract plans. The current estimated construction cost for this project is $44,000,000. The completion date for this contract will be 18 months after authorization to proceed. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the following categories to be considered for this project: Highways (Roads and Streets) Special Plans (Pumping Stations) Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS).
