The City of Lookout Mountain invites qualified and experienced firms and individuals to submit conceptual plans for the development of trails, sidewalks and pathways that will connect the extended mountain community to the new Mountain Hall, Soccer Field, Fairy Trail Garden, Fairyland School, Covenant College, existing trail system, as well as the new city park slated for development in 2022. Intentions are to contract, within a year from the date of this notice, a reputable firm to prepare a city-wide trails and recreation master plan. This plan shall include conceptual plans for the development of trails, sidewalks and pathways that will connect the extended mountain community to the new Mountain Hall, Soccer Field, Fairy Trail Garden, Fairyland School, Covenant College, existing trail system, as well as a new city park slated for development in 2022. The proposal of the selected respondent will be used in the preparation of a grant application for Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) funding with the budget provided by the respondent being incorporated into the grant application. If awarded funding, the selected firm would be expected to prepare the trails and recreation master plan within eighteen (18) months of receiving the notice to proceed.
