The City of Tacoma has a significant deferred repair and replacement backlog and delayed investment in infrastructure growth. Not only is the City's inventory aging and in need of repair, many of the facilities no longer meet the operational needs of the respective Departments, ultimately leading to reduced levels of service to the public. Accordingly, the City requests proposals from qualified firms to provide guidance, develop a plan, and recommend appropriate actions to address the backlog of repair and replacement projects, specifically in general government facilities. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
