The Division of Wildlife Resources is in need of fencing services for removal and replacement of approx. 2900 feet of fence in Duchesne County, Utah. The project will begin on or after March 1, 2022 (or when ground thawing is sufficient) and must be completed and inspected by June 3, 2022 Fence Construction: 2,900 feet Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) is acquiring services in this contract to provide fencing for habitat protection on the Rabbit Gulch Wildlife Management Area (WMA). Project work includes the removal and disposal of 2,900 feet of t- post and barbed wire/net style fencing. Contractor will then re-construct the same 2,900 foot section of fencing using welded drill pipe and succor rod. Contractor must provide all drill pipe posts, toprail, and succor rod, metal clips, expansion joints, concrete, and all welding supplies and hydraulic post pounding equipment. Bids should be submitted on a per/foot basis. A minimum of 2 years' experience is required building this type of fence. The main access route is a well maintained Duchesne County dirt road from Highway 40, which goes northwest for about one mile through an area of private properties and then enters the southern boundary of the WMA. The project site is in an area with high susceptibility to fires due to vegetation type and time of year. Fires resulting from power equipment, tobacco smoking, vehicle exhaust, or any other activity of the contractor in or around the project area will be the responsibility of the contractor to extinguish. Bidders are urged to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable.
